Re: Delphi Starter can compile zGameEditor?

Just so I follow: did you build zzdc.exe and zzdc.map, rename zzdc.exe to player.bin, copy both files to same location as ZDesigner.exe, built ZDesigner.exe from IDE, and then try building a empty ZGE project from ZDesigner?

Re: Delphi Starter can compile zGameEditor?

It is a bit tricky: The final player.bin is built from makeplayer.bat and linking with custom low-memory RTL functions. So the one you build in IDE will always be bigger. Try unchecking "Remove unused code" in Project menu in ZGE, or also update ZzDC.map file (create by setting project opt...

Re: Delphi Starter can compile zGameEditor?

Aha, this was a bug. I've committed a fix to github so please get the latest sources.

Zzdc.exe is the player (runtime engine) so when you can built it try just rename zzdc.exe to player.bin.

Re: Delphi Starter can compile zGameEditor?

Make sure that the main project file you open is "ZzDc.groupproj".

When it is opened correctly the Project Manager view should look like this:

I think so, yes. I suggest you try and let me know if you run into any problems with compiling.

Re: Butterfly

Still looking great :). How many levels are you planning to include in the game?

You've redesigned your homepage recently?: [edit: removed link]
Lots of nice content there. What other tools do you use for game creation? I'm guessing Gamemaker and Novelty maybe?

Re: Butterfly

Still looking great rrTea! I see some more polish since the last version. The "level loading" intro looks good, and the logging text in the background fits the style too (or maybe that is just debug info?). Starting to look like a bullet hell kind of game now with nastier enemies :)

Re: Vector graphics with NanoVG and NanoSVG

Cool! All three demo projects work fine here. I've been wanting to add nice quality 2d-vector features for ZGE and you seem to have found the perfect match here in Nano-libs! Thanks for your work.

Re: Lazarus port?

Hi,

I don't think the editor can be compiled with Lazarus because Lazarus does not have the VCL (visual component library), only the LCL which is not the same thing (only somewhat compatible with VCL).

Re: Parent removed, but some offspring remains

Good analysis, you are correct, if the spawner adds child models after it has been removed then it would cause error messages. I've protected against this in the engine now so it should not crash.

Re: Parent removed, but some offspring remains

Sorry, I misunderstood, I thought you were talking about setting SpawnAsParent on the SpawnModel in App.OnLoaded. Please look further on how to find a reproduceable test case because otherwise I cannot fix it.
