That is an amazing tutorial! Thank you very much. I'm downloading it now, after watching it online. I had been rolling around in my mind how to make a skybox, but it would have been agonizingly slow for me to put it together. I'm going to be studying this for a long time. And that trick where you pi...

Not sure which application you refer to. The FPSdemo is the same as I posted much earlier. My last post referred to the file posted by kattle87 just before. Just loading in the editor locks it up. I've never run it. Apparently using bitmapRect as a base and stacking bitmapBlur directly upon it revea...

I have Wings and have used it a little. That's good to know. Have SoftImage also, but never really got very far in it.

I like it. About FPS bug. Still the same. The way my open window fixes on this file make me think its a file specific thing. This file only one with rect upon rect. Every other demo works and displays perfect in preview. The preceeding post file causes same atioglxx.dll error AND LOCKS EDITOR. TaskM...

I'm addressing most of my complaints by morphing the docs. Two things - If a components comment is not used, it's a mystery. How about a comment component to place in the tree? It could be a ZExpression that doesn't get called but displays in Code editor. You can do it now with commented lines, but ...

Ah, then we do see thing more or less the same. GameMaker is good - didn't feel like learning another language. Got familiar with C# looking at NeoAxis. Same for Pascal looking at Lazarus. Decided Quark/Quake getting too complex for what they are (2.5D). XOPS uses cube mesh with each vertex movable ...

Well, we're looking at this from two different directions. You, from the inside out; me, from the outside in. I've probably looked at 60 different game makers in the last couple of years. Not that I have any game inside me just bustin' to get out. I just find the the whole process cool. A couple of ...

As a semi-noob who now has an idea how things work together, I think a modular approach with... 1) a tutorial on how to make an animated model 2) a tutorial on how to make a 3D scene (ground, skybox, light(sun)). 3) a tutorial on how to make simple buildings 4) a tutorial on how to put them together...

Thanks Kjell
I understand FK, having made a few animations.
About blit, in my noobiness I hadn't gotten the update cycle of the editor at that time. Thanks for explaining clone/reference - docs updated.
JPH - In my noobiness I hadn't noticed the dickHammer action until now. Cool.

I used Fragmotion for overhauling the stock animations of the Retribution Engine. They are .md2 and it worked great.

For modeling I like Deled (Lite of course, I'm a cheapskate) and I see now they are moving into animation.

By golly, they are too! It's so big I forget to scroll. Thanks.

EDIT - I figured out why I was noob-blind to that and made a change to the docs. It's an on-going process. Every time I noob-stumble over or onto something that's not clear, I make a change. Guess that's the job I took on.

Yup, I'll be getting to the "bitmap stacking GUI" as soon as there is the next stable release. This will always be a release behind. I've added a note about Alt / enter in the next getting started. . Query - In ZExpressions, I've run across a few commands / classes / ? that must be Pascal ...
