PG 64k

I made a 64k version of an old project. Lots of things had to be cut out, rewritten (I had no idea how ZGE works back then when I was writing the original project!), optimized etc and some of the levels are missing content but the project is fully functional.

My main goal was for the exe to be as small as possible and I just ignored the level layout files. So the actual download file (the archive) is quite bigger than 64k (rewriting the loading to work with the new version already took lots of time so this'll have to do) - but still that's probably nothing nowadays. Maybe one day I'll try to fit it all into a self-contained 64k file!

Please note that the game's page contains a sad story about an imaginary animal, do not read that if you're soft hearted (please read it)! Anyway with that warning out of the way here is the page in question:

(For the curious: the story is not autobiographical.)

For some reason itchio does not allow to tag games as made with ZGE so I just added it to the profile page:

Nice! Always impressive to see games done in 64k and it plays really well. I especially liked the effect when the level appears. :)

Nice! I remember trying an earlier version of this. Fun comic strip too, yes it is hard to impress people :)
