This is pretty low priority since it can be achieved in numerous other ways (through MeshExpression, importing / reimporting meshes etc) - just an idea.
MeshBox can be switched to 2d ("Grid2DOnly") which is very practical for all kinds of things. I'd find it practical if the Sphere mesh producer would also have such an option because I often use some 2d pentagons, hexagons, octagons, circles of various smoothnes etc. (Obviously ZSamples wouldn't do anything in that case.)
