Re: SteeringController

hi rrTea, I have used SteeringControllers a fair bit in my productions,. I have found they are very useful in creating interesting interactions, however they are a tad unpredictable and require a lot of tweaking to get useful results. It is probably best not to rely of the AdjustHeading for the obje...

I also asked a while back if anyone had an implementation of path-finding,. I was thinking if an implementation on an array as well,. however what about using a bitmap to take advantage of the multi-threading now offered there? my Mine game needs path-finding to move units around,. as do most games ...

It seem the free upgrade is permanent, however you have a year limited window to actually do it. I suppose they are attempting to push as many ppl as as they can get into their shinny new system. I may just wait till I get something like this to try 10; http://liliputing.com/2015/06/ecs-introduces-l...

Windows 10 free upgrade ??

to upgrade or not?

I am happy with my win7 machine,. should I take the bait and move to 10?

I have used 8.1 on a laptop and found it confusing and annoying,.
Is 10 really the one OS to rule them all? (phone, tablet, tv-box, desktop)

Will ZGE projects just work?

thoughts appreciated,.

Raspberry Pi2 as a build target?

I recently received a Raspberry Pi2 as a gift,. it is a very interesting tinny bit of hardware. - 900MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU (over-clockable apparently) w/ a 3D core using OpenGL ES2.0 I am not much of a Linux guy, so I am just now learning how to work the OS, but it is rather fun so far. Su...

Ah,. I missed that part, so yeah, that should work well. options are always welcome indeed.

I will try the newest beta eventually,. last release does so much already, I get lost in all the possibilities.

Hi Guys, I am not working with the latest beta currently,. so maybe I'm missing something. In general, I do not like the idea of a bunch of windows manipulations to get stuff done. As a single monitor user, I find apps that throw windows all over unwieldy to work with, and would much prefer ZGE stic...

simple transformations that produce complex structures

I have been working with some simple transformations that produce complex structures in motion. I have an idea for a game with these undulating locations as the back drop,. I am going to do a simple interface for finding interesting locations in the transforms to facilitate level points for the game...

i don't disagree with your proposed components,. however they don't exist yet. just saying the option to define the font's character order could be a useful one, as rrTea has pointed out.

rrTea's idea is great for better convenience,. working with fonts, and would be when using the current font component for sprites, for GUIs, etc. as well.

These are worthy ideas, well thought out,. and from the current samples already basically coded. I agree that these will be useful additions to ZGE, making working with bitmaps for fonts, sprite, and tiles much easier for many people. Perhaps looking at some of these available tilemap editors will p...

Yup, the walls are one mesh generated from an array,. I was just going to do a quick check against the array for the walls,. just have not had the time to set that up. ( I scaled the map at some point and I have to refactor my array-check code for this odd size. or re-scale a bunch of stuff,. . ) Th...
