How to configure AVG properly?

I am AVG antivirus free user and for some time (from latest update), it begun considering ZGE executables (both screensavers and standard exes) as suspicious files. It doesn't matter if it is compressed or not. Could you help me with configuring it so it won't treat ZGE executables as threat?
BTW: Changing antivirus software isn't acceptable as other free AVs have same fault (I've tried) and only one which doesn't (Avast) is known for damaging system files.

I use AVG myself but haven't noticed this yet, though I've still to reboot the machine for the latest upgrade. From time to time ZGE files have been erroneously marked as positives by various scanners but then it has been fixed again in later updates. Hope that quickly happens in this case too.
builds are malware?

Same here.
I've downloaded ZGameEditor 2.0.1, created via "Project > Build and compress Windows exe-file" an executable and my Avira Free Antivirus says it contains a virus or a bad program 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen'. I can't execute it without disabling my antivirus.
I hope you will fix it one day.

Hi Thompson,

This is not something "we" can fix. It's up to the anti-virus companies to add proper support for compressed executables to their software.
Alternatively you could use the "Build and run" / F9 option to create a uncompressed executable.

it's ok

Yes, this works. It doesn't cause the problem mentioned before.
I've downloaded also the
OneButton.zip Tutorial and it works with "Build and compress Windows exe-file" and "Build and run" without bothering the antivirus. So it seems not to be a real issue.
Anyway, I think I was a little rude, so I better stop right here ^^. Thx for quick reply.
